Each year USA Triathlon supports over 4,300 events nationwide in its attempts to grow, inspire and support the triathlon and multisport community. Included amongst these events are its USA Triathlon National Championships. These championships do not require qualification and are therefore a fantastic opportunity for athletes to test themselves against the best athletes in the country. Even more, many of these championships are Team USA qualifiers, offering athletes the chance to fly the flag on the world stage at World Triathlon Championship Series Events!
2022 has been a breakthrough year for the multisport community and USA Triathlon has had a major role to play. This year is the first year ever that the USA Triathlon will have a State Series Championship in all 50 states, offering equal opportunities to athletes from all over the country! Furthermore, 2022 has seen USA Triathlon execute the inaugural Multisport National Championships Festival in Irving, Tx – a hugely successful event that played host to over 2,500 multisport athletes, expecting an ever-greater turnout next year! Toyota Legacy Triathlon and Paratriathlon National Championships:
Marina Green, Long Beach, CA – July 16-17, 2022
USA Triathlon is the first National Governing Body to bring a new annual event to Los Angeles as part of the lead-up to the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As with from previous years, a legacy is often inherited off the back of the Games. However, USA Triathlon are focused on building their legacy before the Games arrives in the Sunshine State!
This week the Legacy Triathlon will play host to the USA Paratriathlon National Championships! All paratriathletes competing will have qualified through their respective regional paratriathlon championships and so the field will be comprised of the best paratriathletes across the nation. A star-studded field including 2021 winner and Paralympic Gold Medallist, Brad Snyder, will be amongst the big names on the start line. Toyota Age Group National Championships
Milwaukee, Wisconsin – August 6-7, 2022
Always a seriously competitive event, the Age Group National Championships makes its return to Milwaukee for another year! Expected to be another year of high-quality performances, this one is well worth a go if you’re looking test yourself against some other great athletes or just looking to take in the beautiful scenery of Lake Michigan – A great race on a great lake!
USA Triathlon’s Age Groupers have also experienced great success on a global level as they’ve competed on the Elite World Championships Series circuit this year. This one should be a cracker! Find out more and sign up here today.
USA Triathlon Elite Team Update
The World Championship Triathlon Series is well underway and a couple of races away from the season finale in Abu Dhabi. In 2022, the USA Triathlon athletes have been repping ZONE3 sponsored tri-kits and are looking seriously fast. They’ll be looking for similar success in the races ahead as they had in Montreal, where the Elite Mixed Relay Team stormed home to take a Bronze, narrowly missing out on Gold in what was a fantastic race!
